MB-900 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals – Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is the delivery of computing services – processing , storage, networking, data – over the internet, on a pay as you go cost model.

Cloud Computing is:

  • Scalable – change computing resources based on demand, or in preparation of demand, or for changes of workload. You can scale vertically (Up) e.g., adding a faster CPU or changing memory; or horizontally (Out) by adding more servers
  • Elastic – automatically adding computing resources in response to demand and removing when unnecessary
  • Cost Effectiveness – economies of scale and only paying for what is used
  • Current – IT maintenance performed by the cloud vendor
  • Reliable – backups and disaster recovery
  • Secure – both physical and digital
